Description
I have just installed enscribi (following the instructions on the openmoko wiki), as well as the necessary fonts and dependencies. However, enscribi just comes up with a blank white rectangle and a few buttons that don't do anything. Trying to write on the blank white rectangle does nothing.
I've also tried manually installing scim but it crashes with an error message about being unable to load X11 frontend module - although maybe it's missing a dependency. scim should really be in the repository at least until enscribi actually works.

The biggest problem about that is, in my opinon, that no one in the shr team can read or write chinese. And things like that have to be done by people who can at least read chinese. I could only say if it builds and runs but i couldn't say if it's really working.
So i think we need a chinese guy for this, any help is appreciated.

Heinervdm: I have already installed Enscribi but it doesn't work.
I'm not Chinese but I can read and write it, so I can test the enlightenment libs for compatibility with enscribi and I'm willing to help restore compatibility with enscribi (which was apparently fine until September 2009)
I would like to actually do some coding to help fix this, but I can't get my toolchain working well enough to even compile the existing source:(

You could use Enscribi, installable in opkg.org, which is perfect for chinese but it doesn't work on SHR :|
