SMS & Contacts programs should show 'loading' status or similar

Description

After starting the phone it takes some time before SMS messages or contacts are shown in the SMS / contacts programs. This is fine, but the fact that the programs open fine and show blank screens is jarring (I mistakenly thought shr had deleted all of my messages!).

Please show 'loading messages / contacts' in the area until they have finished loading.

They have finished loading.
It's just that opimd hasn't finished loading the backends itself, and the GUI takes from opimd which returns nothing (as no backends are loaded).
We should add a "loading..." message, but that won't solve your specific issue.
