Keyboard doesn't reappear in SMS

Description
In the SMS app, when I press 'Close' I'm brought to the 'Do you really want to quit?' question, at which point the keyboard is hidden. However when I answer 'No', I'm brought back to the compose SMS window, but the keyboard is not opened again, so i cannot continue writing.
The keyboard should be re-opened if closed whenever the compose sms window is presented.

Hmm...
- After the first 'close,' 'no' cycle, then then if text cursor is a '_' , then pressing 'close' and 'no' doesn't bring the keyboard up. However when it's a '.' before pressing close, the keyboard returns reliably.
- However the first time this happens it appears that the keyboard never comes back, regardless of the cursor.
The same behaviour occurs when pressing 'continue' followed by 'back' from the compose sms screen.

fixed with libphone-ui-shr rev c9deeda7643a646fc82b4c1ff7435bee73be5ace and will be in SHR-unstable feed with next rebuild.
