Description
It is always hard to hear when the phone rings, and impossible if it is in the pocket of some thick winter clothes,
The phone seems capable of more noise though, for example if I turn on the speaker option in the middle of a call.
So I guess the playing of ringtones could be tweaked to set up audio like it's done for speakerphone, in order to be loud enough.
Those who don't want it that loud can set a lower volume in the phone/ringtone setup.

i think the ring tone is loud enough now (even too loud for my preference).
Maybe we should close this ticket? Has anybody another opinion?

- Priority changed from major to minor
- Version changed from SHR-unstable to all
- Component changed from SHR Image to shr-settings
Ok, i've compiled my own image, and have run in the same problem. But i just needed to change the alsa scenario (in shr-setting/profiles) to something else and back to stereoout, and now its loud again.

The problem here is that the general volume is on 92 by default. I have been able to adjust /etc/freesmartphone/conf/openmoko_gta/alsa-default/stereoout for an instantly louder sound.
Maybe the default should be revised?
