add new contact from phonelog don't work.

Description (last modified by TAsn) (diff)

I am using shr-t, but add new contact from phonelog don't work.
In older version (november shr-u) it works.
No error logged in console.
I think it must be regression.

On phonelog i click on save, then click on "add field", set field to "Name" and set name, then click on save.
It look like that it work good, but no contact added (also I try reboot).

More info:
happens both in unstable and testing, and also when adding from dialer, it's a problem with the libphone-ui function "new contact".
It happens because we try to save according to Path which may not be set if it's a new contact.

same here (shr-t)
I have all my contacts so far stored on my sim. Does the new shr store the added contacts in a file? If yes: where?

comment:4 Changed 2 years ago by TAsn

By default they are saved in an opimd database. /etc/freesmartphone/opimd/sqlite-contacts.db

The contact is actually added to the database, but the contens of the Database is not shown in the contacts.

After a reboot it was there though.
My guess: probably the Database is not shown in the contacts when it was empty during boot (and all contacts are on the SIM) or it just uptates in the contacts after a reboot.

@multi: can you confirm?

I have one contact in database and that is shown in contacts.

  • Version changed from SHR-unstable to SHR-testing

I can confirm that I can't add from Phone Log. My contacts are located on my sim card. /etc/freesmartphone/opimd/sqlite-contacts.db is nowhere to be found...
