PSoD (Purple Stripe of Death) - When suspending the phone.

Reported by: TAsn Owned by: ainulindale
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: SHR Image Version: SHR-unstable

Description

Sometimes when the phone gets suspended, I get a psod, which is essentially a black screen with a thin purple stripe positioned around the top boarder of the 1st quarter of the screen (starting from down). ;]
It jams the phone and makes it overheat, which is terrible and battery consuming. I think it happens mostly when the phone is rotated using omnewrotate, though I'm not sure.

I don't have any more info, sorry.

Can confirm this behaviour, also using omnewrotate

Tried to reproduce on a week old unstable and got nothing, so it may be ok now, more testing is needed though.

Ok, same distro as in the first comment, no changes at all, got the psod, so I guess it shouldn't be closed yet. ;\

Is it still happening?

BTW it's rather kernel bug and should be on OM trac...

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to upstream

not sure, got too annoying so I just dropped the rotation app, though it is important!

anyhow, as you said, it's upstream.
