locked phone doesn't suspend after resuming from call or sms

Reported by: ThomasF Owned by: ainulindale

Description

Starting situation: Phone locked and it's gone into standby.

When I receive a call (and don't answer) or receive an sms (unlock and lock again) the phone dims to black again but does not go into suspend thereafter..

It does suspend, though, if I do a quick "unlock/lock" sequence (aux. button)..

Slight variation (I don't lock the phone, and no power cable attached):

For missed phone calls it always work, i.e. it will auto suspend again.

If I do a manual suspend and receive a missed SMS (i.e. don't touch anything) then it will suspend again.

If I do an auto suspend and receive a missed SMS then it will not suspend again (if I receive a missed phone call in this state, then it will auto suspend again).

It doesn't make sense for me why it will work differently with auto suspend vs. manual suspend. But I have just tried this 4 times with each of them.

I do believe it would be relevant to raise the priority since it means I can't leave the phone overnight without power cable attached (but since I am new here, I won't be the judge).

it seems fixed for me.. after a recent opkg upgrade my phone happily suspends again after both missed call (was working before, too) and received sms..

Thank you.. :)

Well, it should be INVALID, as it has nothing to do with phone being locked or unlocked ;) But as it's already fixed, closing as FIXED.
